Apple launch new ‘turbocharged’ iMac

Hot news for all the Apple lovers out there….Apple launched a hot new range of it’s popular iMac’s today!

While the look of the iMac hasn’t really changed, it’s what’s inside ‘the box’ that really stands out…

The new iMacs feature the latest Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors with a completely new processor architecture.
Based on Intel’s 32-nanometer technology, these new Intel Core processors will set super fast new benchmarks for iMac.

The Intel Core i5 or Core i7 in the 27-inch iMacs puts all four processing cores in the one die, so the data can travel a shorter distance, and in return produce a quicker processor.

Intel’s Turbo Boost technology built is now built into the Intel Core processors on the iMacs, so if you’re using processor-intensive applications, such as Final Cut Pro or Aperture you will see a substantial improvement in extra performance and speed.

More Powerful Graphics
The 27-inch iMac gives you the choice of the ATI Radeon HD 5670 with 512mb of memory, or you can get lightening speed performance with the ATI Radeon HD 5750 with 1GB of GDDRS memory. For those with no idea of what this means, basically it means if you’re a gamer or run 3D applications, you’ll be in for a treat!

And of course the standard features of the latest iMac range still apply, like the LED backlit screen which are amazing for watching movies on, a 1000:1 contract ratio that will leave the standard PC monitor for dead, and a 178 degree viewing area, so you can view your monitor perfectly from almost any angle while in front of the screen, without any change in contract or colour.

The iMac’s come with the Wireless Magic Mouse, which might take a little getting used to, but after a week or so you will never want to touch the old school mouse again! Buttons on a mouse are so ’90′s! It’s all about the mouse swipe now.

These are just a few of the new features, but make sure you visit the Apple store and check out the full specs.
